The combination of deserts, mountains, coastlines and BIG timber is superb. I say almost because if you like “swamps”, you’ll have to go south for that. Mississippi is another state that in my opinion is gorgeous. It has a very ugly reputation but if you visit you will fall in love. And they have such a rich historical past that provides to the sweetness.
Yellowstone and the Tetons in Wyoming are just stunning, but there are several other areas in that state which are beautiful, too. I judge by eco-variety, affordability and skill to precise benefit from the surroundings. The state is so giant that taxes and gasoline costs make affordability nearly inconceivable and travel a rare event.
