Top Lists again shows teams, everything looks kosher on the account page. And yes points didn't update to teams

Thanks Travis!

Here is a link to screen shot showing no teams:

I think the "no teams" is at the heart of things.

Summation: (taken from this thread and here)

1) stats are not exported in a fashion that can be picked up by the stats sites and nobody can see points being credited there. At this writing 6 days have gone by without a valid export.

2) There no longer appears to be any teams, at all. I'm guessing the DB table is corrupted (or worse). That problem is likely the cause of the problems on everybody's account pages and may also be causing the export file to be incorrect (since it has no team data I expect).

I really hope this can be fixed.

It's more than that. Try looking at "Top Teams". It says:

"There are no teams"

.. None of the new ones have run that long for me yet, no more than a half day at worst.

Of course I spoke too soon :-\ ..
exact_genome_1502498102_29_23498_0 currently 80% done and will finish at around 1 day 8 hours. not so bad, wingman was 23 hours.

exact_genome_1502589903_28_24204_2 - 10 hours in and 13% done .. still won't be as long as yours Conan.

everything else continues to run in the general range of 8-10 hours.

Wow! None of the new ones have run that long for me yet, no more than a half day at worst.

2. You add the credit for Pooling-WU to combined credit but not to Wildlife@Home credit.

That does appear to be the case.

Posted 24 Jul 2017 by Profile Gibson Praise
At issue is I run Seti and it "always" runs on the Gpu. The gpu is setup to use 1 core.

So is CSG doing some kind of cpu-based multi-threading or is there something else I need to troubleshoot?

Thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom,

CSG does not do cpu multi-threading, nor does it have a GPU app so .. the only way I could think the you would have 9 tasks with accumulated work was if two of those tasks were in the waiting-to-run state ( having been started and then superceeded by CSG tasks with a earlier deadline ).

If nine CSG tasks were running along with a Seti GPU task .. I have not a clue. It should not happen.

.. but it might actually be a blue - phase snow goose ..

fyi ..the reason I thought it was not a snow goose was that the head was not white, thinking that part of the goose would not change color so much in differing conditions.

got a couple more:

and let's certainly not forget https://csgrid.org/csg/results.php?hostid=51043 (owned by grcpool.com) that has 1051 invalid tasks plus 767 pending and not a single valid task .. not one.

Between them they have invalided https://csgrid.org/csg/workunit.php?wuid=1227811 and I would not be surprised if more are coming.

New user. Hello, everyone!

How can I process DNA tasks? I thought i was doing so, but see my credits are for wildlife.....?

Thanks

John

Hi John! Welcome!

At present the only sub-project providing work units is W@H. My guess is that in your profile you've checked to receive work from other subprojects if there are none in yours.

Both DNA and SubSet have been without work for just over a year and I am not sure if either will return ( no official announcement that I have seen ).

Hope this helps,
g

Posted 1 Jul 2017 by Profile Gibson Praise
So ever since adrianxw posted I have been biting my tongue .. I hope I am brief.

1) I ( as a contributor ) do not think the credit rate was "too" high. Comparing points between projects or even sub-projects is not a useful endeavor. adrianxw's argument holds no water with me at all.

2) The 10% drop in point rate does not bother me. It was only 21 May that version 0.26 came out that doubled the performance / points ( along with fixing a major bug that was annoying the crap out of people ). Since then things have been very stable. I think Travis's adjustment is both warranted and very restrained.
18) Message boards : Number Crunching : Matched Observations .. (Message 7173)
Posted 29 Jun 2017 by Profile Gibson Praise
So I've noticed on the Top Image Reviewers page that there is now a column entitled "Matched Observations". As near as I can tell this is a stat associated only with the UAV imagery ( since tom7up has no matched observations at all and he hasn't done UAV ).

Are the matches with each other or with software (or both)?

2nd Q: If it is only UAV will it be expanded to the other two projects?

Looks like the polar bears may be attempting to limbo.

Oh, that is definitely a NatGeo program I'd watch!

More seriously .. after more images in the set, the 'pole' is at the short end of my earlier estimate .. 8-10 feet, maybe even 6 feet. Mosaic #53 is much closer to the surface than 55 or 56.
