I tried a fix on my end for those who have been having trouble connecting to the server with Windows XP. The scheduler in the header for the main page of csgrid had http://csgrid.org listed for the scheduler instead of https://csgrid.org
Let me know if this fixed anything (or broke anything -- hopefully not)! |

This fixed the connection problem I was having. In so much as I can contact the server and download work.
However I am unable to upload that work back to the server, due it seems to another http issue where the work unit is trying to upload back to http://csgrid.org/csg/ and this is not working.

Looks like I still had http instead of https in the config.xml file. I think this should be fixed now. Let me know if that worked! |

I believe that all is now well.
I am sure that a couple of work units were able to upload by themselves last night without my intervention.
It has taken a month but we got there in the end, some problems just don't like being found.
Thanks Travis

Just a curiosity.
How many Win Xp are still on the road? Is not a waste of time? |

I recently read an article in a computer magazine, that said there were as many Win XP machines still out there as there was Win 8 and 8.1 combined.
Equals about 10% of all Windows users, which is the same as 8 + 8.1 also at 10%.
I think Win 10 came in around 25 % and the rest was still Win 7 (say around 55%)
So still a lot out there, slowly dropping but still a force.

Whew! Sorry this took so long. It disappeared off my radar for a little bit. Glad to hear it's working. :) |
