I've gotten the report observations button working on the watched video page here:

http://volunteer.cs.und.edu/wildlife/user_video_list.php

You can also reach this by going to Your Account -> Watched VIdeos from the navbar. If any videos you've watched were incorrectly validated, you can use the button to have Susan and her students review the video to provide an expert opinion on it. Please try not to abuse it as their time is limited, and if it just gets flooded they'll probably not be able to provide much (or good) feedback.

Now that you can report videos, I'm going to work on the interface so they can review them and get the database updated with their official opinion. Let me know if anything isn't working with it.

Once that's done, I'll get back to working on the client applications and hopefully send out new workunits soon.

cheers,
--Travis

Something seems to be wrong with the listing. When I click for the invalid videos I get 5 videos for the site and the index below shows only 0..1, altough I have over 300 invalid videos.
On the other side It looks like the "go to"-function works, but the index then still shows 0..1

It appears the numbers on the bottom are only indicating the count of reported videos, regardless of what I have my filters set to.

As DoctorNow stated, the GoTo button still works, and all the videos are displayed.

Indeed, looks like it. I now realize that also.
We better should introduce a "reported"-button to the choice-buttons also, I see all reported videos are showing up, even videos which I'm not a part of.

Not top worry from my end on that, I have no intention at all of sifting thru over 700 supposedly invalid Video's even though I know some of them are not invalid on my part. It would take way to much time loading & looking for them again that can be better spent just looking at new Videos & trying to keep the Invalids to a minimum ...

Message 1206 - Posted: 22 Aug 2013, 21:21:07 UTC - in response to Message 1194.

I reported a few problematic video earlier today. Which leads me to two questions:

1. Will there be any way to filter the video I reported - or to filter all reported video? There doesn't seem to be a button yet.
2. Will we be informed - and if so how? - when they are closed by the expert staff? And what final decision they've made?

Cheers

1. Yup, I'm going to add that to the watched videos page.
2. You'll be able to filter for reviewed videos from the watched videos page (they'll be the observations as well as comments on why things were marked the way they were). Also, in the interface for Susan and her students they'll additionally be able to flag a report/response as instructional, and we'll have a page for all those videos -- which should be a good tool for helping people understand how to correctly mark videos.

I've started to report some Video's because I'm getting hammered on the to dark one's & I found some where 2 Marked Bird Present & 2 Marked Bird Absent & the 2 Absent were marked Invalid & all the other Markings were the same. I believe a 3'rd Opinion is needed because I felt the Bird was Absent myself . It probably was a case where the 2 Present were submitted 1'st so got Validated ... IMO

Just how do you use the Go To Button, I can't get it to do anything ??? Thanks

I'm going Golfing, can't get the Video's to load right now so might as well go do something else ... lol

For the goto button, put in a number and it will skip to that set of videos (for example, if you have 300 videos listed on the watched videos page, and put in 50, it should jump you to videos 50-54).

It isn't sufficient to just hit return after entering the number; you have to click on the goto button.

Hitting return should work now as well.

New suggestion:
Reporting is currently only possible for one person and if a video is reported, no other can give an additional comment.
It should be possible to do that, at least for the people who are directly connected with the video, just in case.
