I would like to discuss the following trail cam image:

Ok, puzzled on this one. In the upper left are there 1, 2 or 3 geese? What accounts for the color differential? (pure white, pure grey and just about totally faded). Is this some sort of image glitch?

FYI to the administrators - image 4025528 also has two examples of what I'll call "ghost image" snow geese - as translucent as the faintest of the three in this image.

So far I am selecting these as valid snow geese, but I would like some input on whether they should actually be selected.

Cheers,
g

Gibson,

Thanks for noting this. This is an artifact of the mosaic process (combing our multitude of images from the UAS flights into a single large mosaic image). Any "ghost" geese that you find, you can mark them just like normal geese.

Marshall
