Just a heads up about the blue winged teal video. We're beginning the process of reconverting it to higher quality video (that's why the videos disappeared). We're also working on getting a new process set up to convert the video (we'll be using spare cycles on the universities high performance computing cluster for it), which should hopefully really improve the speed at which video is made available.

I think that its worse quality than the previous. Is it really new video? Timestamp looks like yes.

mp4 looks good.

BTW, time to encode one video is 45 minutes. How big is the video source? What do you think about BOINC distribution? ;)

Looking into it. We've thought about doing this over BOINC however boincifying ffmpeg (which is what we use for the conversion) would be a nightmare...

ok, and another way, as third-party software? You would only create a small program that would only trigger console "$ ffmpeg -i input.mp4 output.avi" and user would have to install ffmpeg manually.

Several projects needs Virtualbox, manually installed by user. But I don't know the details about this. Only idea.
