I'd like to point out the growing discrepancy between my -but not only mine- total score and the sum of my subprojects. It is about 75,000 off at the moment, the total being higher than the sum of its parts. It almost seems that you get bonus credits for DNA that are not part of your DNA score.

Been going over the other thread on this as well. The error is not readily apparent, however I'm looking into it. A bit tricky as I'm in Reykjavik, Iceland traveling to a conference and won't be back home until June 4th. Trying to figure out what's wrong and get a solution ASAP.

Although if it looks like the issue is stemming from just DNA@Home, that should help me figure out the issue.

Hi Travis,

I believe the bonus credit is exactly 6.5 times the original granted credit for a DNA task.

It gets very close to 6.5 using the individual tasks but as they are reported to two decimal places and the overall total has no decimal places it isn't always exact.

If I take the increase in DNA credit (from sub-total figures) I have accrued since switching from Subset and multiply it by 6.5 I get exactly the amount of extra credit I now have.

So knowing someone's bonus credit figure you can work back to the DNA score they had before it started going wrong.

Hope this helps.

I'm guessing you are running a script at the moment as my DNA scores are updating slightly every now and then but the Combined Credit total is staying the same ?

Found it, it was an old credit multiplier I had in there from awhile back. Will take a little undoing but I should have things back to normal sometime tomorrow hopefully!

You know that in a little under 4 hours form the time of this posting the challenge "Citizen Science Grid Server Stress Test for DC-Vault possible inclusion" starts?

I guess that at this point you'd better wait at least 6 days before correcting the credit in order to make the CSG total the sum of the parts/subprojects again....otherwise you'd ruin the challenge.

In my opinion that's a really one-sided point of view; there will always run a challenge somewhere, but for me (and I suppose many other crunchers) it's more important to get back the regular stats asap.

The difference between the CSG total score and the sum of your subprojects is becoming obscene, yes...

This should be fixed now. Although now we're going to need to have a discussion about the DNA@Home credit. :)

I assume by fixed you mean you have made 1 DNA credit equal to 1 Combined credit for results being validated now ?

Can you expand more on "it was an old credit multiplier I had in there from awhile back" ?

Why wouldn't you just put the Combined credit total back to the sum of the sub-projects for everybody ?

Credit needs to be increased. DNA is too low

There's still a discrepancy between total credits and the sum of the individual computer credits.

I'm not seeing that... perhaps I'm looking in the wrong place?

Adding up your sub-project totals equals your combined total, so that all seems OK to me.

If you are referring to individual computer totals, that I am not sure about.

Conan

EDIT :::: Just checked my individual computer totals and they only add up to 332,312 points, yet my total is 1,567,826. So you are correct about the individual computer totals.
My DNA total is 338,014 which is very close, so it is possible that the individual computers only have the DNA totals on them and not the other sub-projects.

For me it's the other way round:
My individual computer totals (1,461,503) show more than my total credits (962,819), but it's less (about -100,000) than the wrong totals before.
