Looks like work is running low (and we have another 6 runs we'd really like to get done). I've started 'snail_hg19_10fa_3motifs_3' as a test. Please let me know if there are any issues. If not, I'll start up the other 5.

They're downloading and running fine for me, so I'm starting up the rest.

Are the WUs supposed to run 2-3 times longer than before and take up to 800 MB RAM each?

If yes, everything is fine! :)

Actually, yes they should run 2-3 longer than the '*1motifs*' runs.

Hi,

on my Linux 64-machine the consumption of RAM is about 1,3GB :-(
Is there any possibility to reduce this amount of RAM?

Background is that DNA@home was chosen to run as Charity-Team-Project in January 2015. I think if RAM-consumption could be reduced the more crunchers would join Charity-Team.

Greets from Germany :-)

Probably not, given the way the application works (unfortunately). It's reading some rather large DNA sequences and then has to set up quite a few data structures with multiple values per each nucleotide in the sequence to do its' calculations.
