About a week age I found Wildlife@home is categorized into "Retired Projects" at BOINCSTATS, and the badge did not update at Free-DC.It is also deleted in my BOINC Manager..
Does this project has been terminated?

BoincStats has retired the former projects that now make part of Citizen Science Grid. The credit has gone over to Citizien Science Grid, provided that you linked your account(s).

In FreeDC Stats you can still see your subproject scores for the three Citizen Science Grid subprojects, provided that you linked your account(s).

As Dirk has said the project Wildlife @Home is not "Terminated", it is still working but as a sub-project under Citizen Science Grid. All new work (when it is released, none at the moment) will be issued from Citizen Science Grid.

Currently work is available from DNA@Home one of the other sub-projects.

We haven't been generating work units for wildlife@home, however I think that will be changing in the next few weeks. I've been developing a new application for it base on convolutional neural networks, and it's almost done testing and ready to start running on BOINC.

I received some Wildlife WUs previous week that errored out on a Linux box of me, corrected a dependency, only to discover that the WUs are by now already out of the database (so I can't share what the error was and what was to be corrected) and no new WUs have arrived since.

Now you've got DNA and S3 up and running, is this close to being the next one?

Cheers!!

I'm hoping Kyle will get some windows binaries for the new wildlife@home workunits. I have my own app on the way as well, but given that we're a couple weeks from the end of the semester it might not go live until I'm done teaching and have time to babysit it.

Hello.
Are there any news on the subject of "New WUs"?

Chris,

The last communication from Travis on this topic was a year ago. I have found that when he has something to add, he does it straight away, other commitments notwithstanding.

Having said that, I am certain this entire endeavour is close to being dead. Here's why:

Tweets - no one is classifying. There's a major bug in the interface and no-one on the admin side has responded directly in two months. It's clear the academic interest in this subproject is dead.
Videos - it looks like no one is watching videos. When they are there's always a flurry of threads. Apart from one tread, the rest date back to last Sept.
DNA - I cant remember the last time there was DNA work. I think it was recently but I dont bother with it.
SSS - Yes, there's a ton of work but when that runs out who knows it there will be more?
Wildlife - no comment for 12 months does not suggest that anyone is working on it. Looks dead to me.

It's a crying shame because Travis has put in a load of work here and I really like CSG - its not your run of the mill BOINC project.

But it's dying on the vine.
