Hi Everyone,

I've been working the last couple days on a page to allow you to view videos you've already watched. You can check it out here:

http://volunteer.cs.und.edu/wildlife/user_video_list.php

It's still under construction (reporting videos doesn't work yet, and right now it only displays interesting videos), but if you'd like to make any comments or suggestions as to it's general format please let me know.

The idea behind this is that if you've watched a video that got flagged as invalid, you can report it to petition us to rewatch it in case you think the validated result is incorrect. This should help prevent errors and anyone cheating (as if your video got invalidated you can flag it so we can fix that and the credit).

You can also get at this page via the dropdown "Your Account" under "Watched Videos".

I've also noticed that there are way too many observations for some videos, so I'll be updating the watch video page to fix this, should hopefully have that done tonight.

I suggest that a comment field be included with the report button. That way we'd be able to explain why we think a video needs to be reviewed in case it isn't obvious. We'd also be able to include information like the time at which a hard-to-detect event occurs.

Also, perhaps there could be a mechanism that allows for multiple correct responses. For instance, an inexperienced viewer might consider a video too dark to adequately see what is going on, while an experienced viewer might easily recognize that the parent is on the nest. The inexperienced user should not necessarily be penalized for being inexperienced.

Yup! You'll have to provide a reason you're reporting the video in a comment box after you hit report.

We can allow multiple correct responses, or at least give partial credit.
